The annual BAPCO Conference & Exhibition, the leading public safety communications technology event in the UK, has opened for registrations. Taking place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry from 10 – 11 March, BAPCO 2020 will bring together public safety technology users, manufacturers, technologists, academics and government representatives from across the critical-comms sector.

BAPCO 2020 will showcase the latest technology on the exhibition floor, as developed by top suppliers from across the world. It will also feature a plethora of expert-led conference sessions in the form of panel and keynote speaker slots, as well as bringing visitors more interactive features than ever before, including the Drone Zone and Connected Vehicles.

The event attracts an international audience and provides an unrivalled opportunity for colleagues to come together to source the latest equipment and systems, develop important business relationships, discuss key industry trends, challenges and solutions, as well as drive innovation into the future. With the rapid evolution of technologies, and the constant shift of policy and requirements of users, it is now more important than ever to stay on top of the issues that affect you.

BAPCO 2020’s comprehensive programme will cover all aspects of public safety technology and communications, featuring speakers such as Bryan Clark, Director of the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme and Jarmo Vinkvist, CEO of Suomen Erillisverkot. The former will be discussing the delivery of ESN in the UK, with the latter presenting on the roll out of Finnish public safety broadband network VIRVE 2.0. BAPCO 2020 is proudly sponsored by Motorola Solutions (Platinum), Audax (Silver), Capita (Silver) and Tait Communications (Silver).

Speaking of the value which attendance at the BAPCO show brings to his organisation, Andy Paffett, Watch Manager, London Fire Brigade said: “The ability to network and to see new innovations all in one place. BAPCO is the place to meet potential suppliers and catch up with those whom you already deal with. It is the place to network with other agencies and to gain knowledge of new and innovative products.”

Ian Thompson, CEO of British APCO, said “In this time of rapid acceleration of technology, growing demand, an ongoing need to be efficient and effective and high expectations from our community, BAPCO 2020 is crucial in showcasing products and solutions as well as enabling those important conversations.  As an association we are ever mindful of the needs of our members who consistently tell us this is a must attend event for everyone within our sector, no matter their role or organisation.”
