Nutanix Appoints Former Trellix Leader

Nutanix has appointed Daryush Ashjari as vice president APJ Presales, effective today.

Daryush brings experience in a range of enterprise-class disciplines with multinational IT solution providers – including IBM, Novell, Cisco, Citrix, and EMC – leading their presales communities across Asia Pacific and Japan. He joins Nutanix from McAfee, now Trellix, where he spent 13 years as their APJ CTO and Presales leader.

Commenting on the appointment, Aaron White, Nutanix’s VP & GM for Sales in APJ said, “Daryush has a passion for technology and transformation programs, and he has a long track record engaging with prospects, partners, and customers. He has been very active across APJ speaking about industry trends, evangelising, and promoting solutions to generate awareness that converts to opportunity. He has also earned multiple industry certifications and qualifications and is a certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner.”

Dayrush will based in Sydney where he lives with his wife of 30 years, and he has two adult children. In his spare and personal time, he is involved in motor racing and water sports, and he enjoys studying history and cultural diversity.

Dayrush replaces Jeff Smith, Nutanix’s VP – Systems Engineering (SE) in APJ, who will retire at the end of the year after eight years with Nutanix. White continued, “We give thanks to Jeff, congratulate him, and wish him all the best after a successful career as he enjoys life with his family and friends in New Zealand where he lives.”

Daryush will work closely with Jeff through the end of the year to ensure a seamless leadership transition for Nutanix’s APJ Presales SEs and specialists.
