Insight launches managed service for exposure management and vulnerability response in APAC

Insight Enterprises has announced the launch of Insight Managed Exposure Defense, a managed security service it says is designed to help organisations in the Asia-Pacific region respond to AI-driven cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

The company said the offering combines continuous threat exposure management (CTEM), managed patching, software supply chain risk management, remediation support, and 24x7x365 managed extended detection and response (XDR) into a single program intended to help organisations identify, prioritise and remediate risks before they are exploited.

According to Insight, the service is aimed at organisations that are struggling to keep up with vulnerability volumes and patching demands as “the window between vulnerability disclosure and exploitation” narrows.

“Across APAC, cyber threats are becoming more frequent, more complex, and faster to execute. AI is compressing the window between vulnerability disclosure and exploitation from days to hours, leaving many organisations without the capacity to respond at the pace required. This is not a threat businesses have months to prepare for.

Security teams are being asked to manage growing volumes of vulnerabilities, accelerate patching cycles, and maintain resilience, often with constrained resources. Insight Managed Exposure Defense was designed to help organisations close that gap and stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats,” said Mike Morgan, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, APAC, at Insight.

The company said the program includes five capabilities: managed CTEM across endpoints, cloud, identity and applications; managed patch operations across multiple operating systems and network platforms; software supply chain and open source software risk management including software bill of materials (SBOM) generation and monitoring; developer outsourcing for remediation work; and a managed XDR service delivered from a global security operations centre footprint.

Insight said the program is aligned to several security and compliance frameworks and regulations, including NIST CSF 2.0, NIST AI RMF, HIPAA, GLBA, NYDFS, the SHIELD Act, and SEC disclosure rules.

For Australian organisations, Insight pointed to regulatory drivers for faster patching and exposure management, including the Australian Signals Directorate’s Essential Eight mitigation strategies, as well as obligations under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 and APRA CPS 234.

Insight said Insight Managed Exposure Defense is available now in APAC.
