IDV Solutions announced today that security industry veteran Mary Grace “MG” Karch has joined the company as Vice President – Federal Systems. She will be responsible for developing and expanding federal business for IDV Solutions’ physical security and risk visualization (PSRV) software, Visual Command Center.

Karch, who is based in Washington, D.C., has more than twenty years of experience in the security software industry, including senior sales management and business development positions at ObjectVideo, PELCO, and Orsus Solutions. Most recently, she was Director Business Development for NICE Systems, where she was instrumental in driving the company’s revenue growth and the market adoption of enterprise situation management technology in critical infrastructure sectors such as government, transportation, and utilities.

She also serves as chairperson of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Committee for the Security Industry Association (SIA), a global security industry trade association.

“MG prides herself on having a long track record of successful projects and customer references,” said Scott Sieracki, IDV Solutions’ Executive Vice President – Global Sales. “She brings us industry knowledge and relationships that will be invaluable in enhancing Visual Command Center’s existing footprint in the government security area.  She’s an outstanding addition to our team.”

Karch is the latest in a series of veteran hires for IDV Solutions, which has raised its profile in the security industry with the launch of its Visual Command Center version 2.0. The software, used primarily in security operations centers, unites data from external sources, enterprise systems, and internal devices into one real-time, common operating picture, enabling organizations to identify and evaluate threats to their facilities, people, and operations.

“I enjoy building strong customer relationships.  My top priority is delivering solutions that add value and help those who serve our country accomplish their missions,” Karch said.  “Visual Command Center is that kind of product, and I’m excited about expanding the market for it in the federal security sector, where I believe it can make a critical difference.”
