The International Forum of Terrorism Risk (Re)Insurance Pools – are the various government regulators and re-insurance companies that manage the pools associated with managing the insurance for terrorism risk.
As part of the International Forum – Marsh has released its Global Terrorism Risk Insurance Report 2026. Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
The report highlights, the changing nature of terrorism risks – including:
- how terror is evolving,
- trends that are emerging etc – some of which we have seen play out in Australia – i.e the blending of state and non-state actors, the replacement of hierarchical terror structures with self-activating individuals who seek out softly protected targets, and
- the potential use of cyber and AI to maliciously target people and communities.
A keynote address at the Forum is being delivered by Guy Carpenter Asia Pacific CEO, Tony Gallagher. Guy Carpenter is an international reinsurer and a business of Marsh.
