CaptureThe latest Asian and global trends in security products and systems will be on display at the International Security Conference and EXPO 2014 (SECONEXPO 2014) that will be held from March 12th to 14th at the Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Halls 2 and 3. All are invited to see the latest state-of-the-art security equipment and attend seminars to get glimpses into the future of the security industry.

SECONEXPO 2014 is co-sponsored by security-related government offices, such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Security and Public Administration, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the Gyeonggi Provincial Government and co-hosted by security-related organizations.

This exhibition will showcase the latest in high-tech security products including CCTVs, DVR and network monitoring systems, physical security equipment, and IT security solutions, such as access control systems, monitoring and alarm systems, and biometric systems. Also on display will be state-of-the-art counter-terrorism and homeland security solutions including intelligent traffic systems.

The special “experience areas” that will be installed with a variety of security equipment make visitors to inspect close-up and even experience the effectiveness of various products ranging from business meeting equipment to high-tech security systems all at a single spot.

In particular, Korea will introduce its integrated control center, which has been an issue of each local government, and its integrated security system, which is a domestically produced base system for implementing the government’s vision for safe cities. This year, a large number of global security companies from the U.S., the U.K. and Israel, the countries with the most advanced security industries, as well as from China, an emerging power, will participate with their own independent booths or at their respective country’s space. A large number of overseas buyers are expected to visit, so this event will function as a touchstone for peering into global security market trends at the beginning of the year.

In conjunction with SECONEXPO 2014 various conferences and seminars will also be held, such as the eGISEC Fair (an e-Government information security solution fair), Security Fair, the Convergence Security Industry Activation Workshop, and the Security Training Seminar. At these programs the latest global security issues and future prospects will be looked at and security system implementation cases introduced from which guidelines will be proposed for more effective security solution usage.

“With both domestic and international security companies attending, this exhibition will be an opportunity to experience the latest security trends as well as new products and services,” said a SECONEXPO 2014 Secretariat insider. “In particular, this year’s event will be participated by a large number of overseas companies and buyers, so it will be an occasion for business between actual security equipment users and suppliers throughout the world.”

It is forecast that SECONEXPO 2014 will be participated by a total of 400 companies occupying 800 booths that will be viewed by approx. 40,000 visitors. Admission is free if registration is completed online at the SECONEXPO 2014 website (www.seconexpo.com).
