Nozomi Networks has established its new Asia Pacific and Japan headquarters in Singapore, strengthening its presence in the region as demand for operational technology and critical infrastructure security continues to grow.
The move follows Nozomi Networks’ recent acquisition by Mitsubishi Electric in a transaction valued at approximately US$1 billion, the largest operational technology security acquisition to date. The company said the new regional headquarters will support its expanding customer base across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and Japan.
Nozomi Networks said Singapore was selected for its strategic location, skilled workforce and leadership in industrial cybersecurity, as well as its strong regulatory frameworks supporting critical infrastructure protection. The company has close to 100 customers across the Asia Pacific and Japan region and said the new headquarters will enable closer engagement with customers, partners and government stakeholders.
This includes collaboration with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) in support of the nation’s Operational Technology Cybersecurity Masterplan 2024. By contributing technical expertise, industry insights, and best practices, Nozomi Networks is committed to supporting the CSA’s vision of a secure and resilient OT system to safeguard the nation’s Critical Information Infrastructure.
The Singapore headquarters will initially house regional leadership, sales and marketing, professional services, partner management, customer success and technical support teams, with plans to expand in line with regional growth. Nozomi Networks said Singapore’s role as a regional business hub will help it scale operations and meet rising demand driven by increased regulatory scrutiny and heightened awareness of cyber risks to industrial environments.
David Hope (pictured), regional vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan, said awareness of critical infrastructure cybersecurity is increasing across the region, with new regulatory requirements playing a key role in driving investment. He said the new headquarters positions Nozomi Networks to better support customers as they respond to evolving compliance and security challenges.
The expansion also strengthens Nozomi Networks’ partner ecosystem across ASEAN and the wider region, as organisations across energy, manufacturing, transportation and utilities seek to secure increasingly connected industrial environments.
