digital-shadows-logoThe US elections have been rife with media noise regarding cyber activity impacting both of the major party candidates. From Hillary Clinton’s leaked emails to hacktivist campaigns targeting each candidate.

‘What has been amazing has been the sheer amount of cyber attacks directed at both the parties of the two candidates, and also the election infrastructure itself. While there has been limited short term impact this time around, it does show high profile national elections are firmly in the radar of the threat actors and will likely continue to get more sophisticated in years to come,’ said Rick Holland, VP Strategy, Digital Shadows.

Digital Shadows new report, Rocking the vote: cyber activity in the 2016 US Election, attempts to cut through some of the media noise and rhetoric that has clouded much of the analysis of the countless reports of cyber activity: high-profile hacks of party systems, numerous public data leaks, suspected nation-state interference, low-level hacktivism, and fears over the potential compromise of voting systems on Election Day.

We invite you to speak to Rick who can provide Digital Shadows’ perspective on:

  • A look at the major cyber security-related incidents surrounding the election
  • Whether these cyber incidents have had a material impact on the polls
  • What these trends could mean for future elections
